Santosa Island and Raffles

Today it rained a lot more, but it’s still boiling hot. The locals started going on about how nice and fresh this felt and that the humidity had gone down, what are they talking about???? Have they not seen my brow???? A little slow to drag ourselves out of bed this morning but we got started with yet more shopping. Singapore can certainly hurt your wallet. After that we went off to Sentosa Island on the Hippobus (it was purple). There we found an even bigger Merlion which Amy took another thousand photos of. After that we headed off back to the city to continue, yes you guessed it, shopping. A short detour was taken for some traditional wholesome cuisine, but we couldn’t find any and ended up in Macdonalds, After this with some enthusiastic bartering we got me a new camera, and upset one of the store owners in the process after walking off without buying anything from him. I have been forced to shave for the first time this holiday because we finally went to Raffles. Amy put on a dress!!!!! (she does do this other than when getting married). Apparently though, t-shirts are not dress code, but they let me in anyway (rif-raf). I have also discovered that Singapore Slings after a Macdonalds hours earlier go straight to your head……… lightweight. Just time to go back now to the hotel for some room service, and to get ready for a 0545 flight to China, ahhhhhhh!!!!!!
