It’s now 2130 and we’ve just got back.
What an incredible trip and meal. We met our rep who walked us down to near the ski school to wait for our skidoo. The sound of a high powered motorbike began to rapidly approach and then in a cloud ice crystals our carriage had arrived.
Hooked to the back was a 4 seat carriage with skis. This was where Amy and I would sit. The boys raced to sit on the skidoo itself behind the driver. In fact, to get this prized seat they went on a completely different skidoo to us.

Rushing to keep up with the lead train we quickly realised the correct decision was to go on the skidoo as it had suspension. Rough ride or not, it put a massive smile on my face and I could see Amy was having equally as much fun.
As we arrived at the restaurant and pulled up next to the boys, Amy had her camera ready. The picture below shows just how much fun was being had on the lead skidoo.

We sat down for our meal with no expectation of what was going to happen. There was a strange contraption on the table in front of us that looked like some kind of mini barbecue. Unsure of what was going to happen we began to tuck into various meats and cheese that we were given as a starter.
Suddenly Callan completely freaked out and burst into tears. He was scared as the contraption was switched on and began to glow red. Whilst trying to allay his fears the waiter arrived with a huge piece of cheese and speared to the bottom of the machine. Called Racletta, it was basically posh jacket potato and cheese. You scraped the melted cheese from the surface of the huge wedge that was bubbling beneath.

Desert was pannacotta, my favourite, but the others wussed out and went for the ice cream. Except Callan, he wanted a chuppa chups lolly which he proceeded to drop and smash on the floor prompting the second melt down of the evening. Second lolly in hand, he quickly resumed a more normal state. Harrison took up the family tradition of finishing off others ice-cream.
It was then time to mount our ride and head back to Claviere. By now it was pitch black with only the light of the stars and the full beam of the skidoo. We shot across the pistes we’d been skiing earlier in the day getting glimpses of recognizable landmarks as the light caught them. It was fantastic fun.

Everyone is now pooped out. Callan is already asleep and Harrison has stopped talking. A regular sign that he is about to settle down as well.
We’ve all thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
I want a skidoo.
